Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia Co. Ltd. has signed ICT Academy cooperation agreements with five Saudi universities at LEAP 2026, further expanding one of the world’s leading ICT talent development programmes across the Kingdom and strengthening Huawei’s commitment to developing the digital skills needed to support the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030.
The agreements were signed at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, welcoming the University of Bisha, Qassim University, King Khalid University, University of Jeddah, and Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University as new Huawei ICT Academy partners.
Through the partnerships, students will gain access to structured ICT curricula, hands-on training resources, and opportunities to pursue internationally recognised certifications, including the Huawei Certified ICT Associate (HCIA). Training will cover key areas of the digital economy, including cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and data communications, helping equip graduates with industry-relevant skills and enhancing their career prospects in Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving technology sector.
Expanding Saudi Arabia’s Digital Talent Pipeline
With the five partner universities located in Bisha, Al Qassim, Abha, Jeddah, and Al Kharj, the Huawei ICT Academy is expanding its reach across multiple regions of the Kingdom. The initiative provides students beyond the country’s major urban centres with greater access to high-quality, industry-aligned ICT education and professional development opportunities.
Faculty members at the partner universities will also benefit from Huawei’s train-the-trainer approach, gaining access to technical resources, curriculum development tools, and ongoing programme updates designed to ensure that academic learning remains closely aligned with evolving industry requirements.
Students from all five universities will also have the opportunity to participate in the Huawei ICT Competition, Huawei’s flagship global talent development programme. Recognised by UNESCO’s Global Skills Academy as a key partner in advancing digital skills, the competition provides students with opportunities to test their technical capabilities, compete at regional and international levels, gain global recognition, and build valuable pathways towards future careers in technology.

Held during LEAP 2026, where Huawei is showcasing its theme ‘Advancing Industrial All Intelligence’, and aligned with the event’s overarching vision of ‘Into New Worlds,’ the agreements underscore Huawei’s belief that technological innovation begins with investing in people.
