The demand for localized computing infrastructure is growing across Saudi Arabia as businesses and government organizations adopt artificial intelligence, connected technologies and data-intensive applications.
Against this backdrop, Dell Technologies and Armada have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore the delivery of containerized mobile and edge data center solutions across the Kingdom.
The agreement, signed during LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, brings together Dell Technologies’ enterprise hardware and infrastructure capabilities with Armada’s expertise in mobile, containerized data center solutions.
The partnership is focused on projects where organizations need fast, flexible and localized access to computing and storage resources, particularly in environments where traditional data center infrastructure may be difficult or time-consuming to deploy.
Bringing Computing Closer to Where Data Is Generated
The proposed solutions will combine Dell Technologies’ enterprise infrastructure with Armada’s mobile and containerized data center platforms.
The approach is designed to bring compute and storage closer to the point where data is generated, reducing reliance on centralized infrastructure and supporting applications that require rapid processing and low latency.
This could be particularly relevant for Edge AI, where data needs to be processed close to connected devices, industrial assets or operational sites rather than being sent to a distant data center.
The collaboration will also address requirements around data sovereignty and operational continuity, particularly for organizations operating in remote or resource-constrained locations.
Targeting Saudi Arabia’s Energy, Telecom and Industrial Sectors
The partnership will initially focus on sectors where localized computing infrastructure can play an important role, including energy, telecommunications, manufacturing and public infrastructure.
Saudi Arabia’s large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects are creating demand for technology that can operate beyond conventional data center environments. Mobile data centers can provide organizations with a flexible option for deploying computing and storage capacity at remote facilities, field operations and other locations where permanent infrastructure may not be practical.
The companies also plan to expand their reach to enterprise customers through Dell Technologies’ authorized regional channel partner network.
Supporting Edge AI and Data Sovereignty
One of the key areas of focus is the growing use of AI at the edge.
As organizations deploy AI across industrial operations, telecommunications networks and connected infrastructure, processing data locally can help reduce latency and support real-time decision-making.
For businesses operating sensitive or mission-critical environments, keeping data and computing resources closer to the point of operation can also support data governance and sovereignty requirements.

The agreement comes as Saudi Arabia continues to invest in digital infrastructure under Saudi Vision 2030, with organizations across the Kingdom looking for new ways to deploy cloud, AI, IoT and other data-intensive technologies.
For companies operating in remote locations, mobile and containerized data centers can offer an alternative to traditional fixed infrastructure, allowing computing capacity to be deployed where and when it is needed.
