Apple has officially introduced the iPhone Air, its thinnest and lightest iPhone to date, blending breakthrough engineering with pro-grade performance. The new device brings a striking titanium design, a stunning Super Retina XDR display, upgraded camera systems, and remarkable battery life — all packed into a frame just 5.6mm thin.
A Slim Yet Strong Design
The iPhone Air is the slimmest iPhone ever, crafted with grade 5 titanium for both strength and lightness. The polished frame is paired with Ceramic Shield 2 on the front, offering triple the scratch resistance compared to previous models, while for the first time, the rear is also protected by Ceramic Shield for enhanced durability.
Apple has reengineered the internal layout to maximize battery space while housing advanced chips and a precision-milled plateau at the back for the camera system and speaker. Despite its ultra-slim design, iPhone Air includes modern conveniences such as the Action Button and a new Camera Control shortcut for quick access.
Available in Space Black, Cloud White, Light Gold, and Sky Blue, the iPhone Air offers an elegant look that feels futuristic in hand.
Display: Bright, Smooth, and Always-On
The 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display delivers Apple’s most immersive visuals yet. With ProMotion technology supporting refresh rates up to 120Hz, scrolling, gaming, and video playback feel incredibly fluid.
Outdoor use has been dramatically improved thanks to 3,000 nits peak brightness, the highest on any iPhone, along with 2x better outdoor contrast. The Always-On feature efficiently scales down to 1Hz when idle, ensuring energy savings without compromising usability.
Camera: Creativity Redefined
Apple has introduced a brand-new 18MP Center Stage front camera, designed with a square sensor for wider framing. Users can take selfies or group shots without rotating their phone, and AI automatically adjusts the field of view for larger gatherings. Dual Capture even lets you record with the front and rear cameras simultaneously — ideal for vlogging or live reactions.
On the back, the 48MP Fusion main camera system delivers the equivalent of four lenses in one, covering popular focal lengths like 28mm and 35mm, while excelling in low-light conditions thanks to a large quad-pixel sensor with OIS. Enhanced with Apple’s updated Photonic Engine, the camera captures lifelike details and vibrant colors across portraits, landscapes, and close-ups.
The iPhone Air also supports 4K60fps Dolby Vision video recording, Action Mode stabilization, and spatial audio capture for immersive playback.

Apple Silicon Power
Driving the iPhone Air is a trio of Apple-designed chips: A19 Pro, N1 wireless chip, and the new C1X modem.
-
A19 Pro: A 6-core CPU with a redesigned GPU architecture for console-quality gaming and advanced AI processing.
-
N1: Handles Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread for seamless wireless performance.
-
C1X modem: Delivers faster, more energy-efficient cellular connectivity than any iPhone before it.
Together, these chips make the iPhone Air Apple’s most power-efficient iPhone ever, while enabling next-gen experiences like generative AI, smooth AAA gaming, and reliable high-speed connections.
Battery & eSIM-Only Design
Despite its ultra-thin build, iPhone Air offers all-day battery life, aided by Adaptive Power Mode in iOS 26, which learns user habits to conserve energy intelligently.
The device also continues Apple’s shift toward an eSIM-only design, eliminating the physical SIM tray and freeing up internal space. Supported by more than 500 carriers worldwide, eSIM ensures easier switching, enhanced security, and seamless global connectivity.
Software: iOS 26 with Apple Intelligence
Running on iOS 26, the iPhone Air introduces Apple Intelligence — the company’s on-device AI system that supports text and audio translation, smarter Siri tools, and visual intelligence features like live screenshot search.
The update also refines the iOS design language with “Liquid Glass” effects and adds new capabilities across CarPlay, Apple Music, Maps, Wallet, and the new Apple Games app.
Accessories and Sustainability
Alongside the iPhone Air, Apple is launching a range of new accessories, including slim MagSafe cases, lightweight bumpers, stylish crossbody straps made from recycled yarn, and a MagSafe battery pack that extends playback time to 40 hours.
In line with Apple’s 2030 carbon-neutral pledge, the iPhone Air uses 35% recycled content — including 80% recycled titanium and 100% recycled cobalt in the battery. The device is built with renewable energy sources, fiber-based packaging, and a titanium USB-C port made with less material than traditional manufacturing.
