The AW Rostamani Group (AWR), a prominent family business in the UAE with over 50 years of automotive experience, has partnered with Charge&go, the electric mobility branch of e&, to promote electric vehicle (EV) adoption in the region. The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during GITEX 2024, the largest technology event globally, aimed at supporting the UAE government’s push for sustainable mobility.
This strategic collaboration addresses “range anxiety,” a significant barrier for potential EV owners, by enhancing convenience for existing customers and incentivizing new buyers. The partnership follows AWR’s recent introduction of the premium EV brand ZEEKR in the UAE, expanding options in the growing EV market.
Customers of AWR Group will enjoy exclusive charging benefits, bundled packages, and access to Charge&go’s extensive charging network across the UAE. Additionally, Charge&go plans to install charging stations at various AWR Properties locations, including showrooms, to facilitate a seamless EV experience.
Mahesh Rohra, Chief Strategy & Business Development Officer at AWR Group, emphasized the partnership’s role in addressing infrastructure concerns, stating, “This collaboration aligns with AWR Group’s commitment to sustainable mobility, contributing to a greener future for the UAE.”
