Today, I had the incredible opportunity to see a flying car at the Etisalat stand during Gitex 2024, and it was nothing short of amazing. The XPENG AEROHT, Asia’s largest flying car company, showcased its revolutionary “Land Aircraft Carrier,” a modular flying car set to redefine transportation as we know it.
The Land Aircraft Carrier: A New Era of Travel
Set to be available for pre-order in Q4 of 2024, with deliveries starting in Q4 of 2025, the Land Aircraft Carrier features a unique two-part design that allows it to seamlessly switch between ground and aerial modes. The air module is engineered for vertical takeoff, enabling low-altitude flights, while the ground module cleverly encases the air module for conventional road travel. This innovative vehicle is designed to enhance the user experience, transforming travel from the ground to the sky.
Beyond personal use, the Land Aircraft Carrier holds significant potential for public services, such as emergency rescue operations, making it a versatile option for both private and public needs.

A Historic Announcement
XPENG AEROHT made this exciting announcement at the Etisalat stand, where they also introduced their latest eVTOL flying car to an international audience. Attendees were treated to a live demonstration of its impressive transition from land to flight mode—an exhilarating first for the company outside of China.
In 2022, XPENG AEROHT achieved a milestone by successfully conducting a test flight of a prototype weighing approximately two tons. The eVTOL flying car is aimed at future three-dimensional transportation, with the company planning to enter mass production as policies and regulations evolve.
A Vision for the Future of Mobility
“XPENG MOTORS is at the heart of a revolution in mobility,” stated Dr. Brian Hongdi GU, Vice Chairman and President of XPENG MOTORS. “The future of mobility goes beyond cars. Whether people want to travel by car, air, or other means, we aspire to change what’s possible.”
The presentation at Gitex 2024 not only showcased innovative technology but also highlighted a visionary approach to transportation that could reshape how we think about travel in the coming years. The excitement surrounding XPENG AEROHT’s flying car signifies a step toward a future where the boundaries between land and air travel are blurred, opening new horizons for personal and public transportation.
